Today on October 17th, 1761; the Kingdom of Sweden and the Empire of Denmark have become one. This is following earlier events when the monarch of Denmark and the monarch of Sweden both agreed to be married. All of Sweden's embassies are to be closed unless there is no prr-existing embassy for Denmark in which case will remain. Swedish alliances and involvement of wars are to be looked over as details between the two nations are sorted out.

Today, French and Portuguese leaders met to discuss terms of land swaps and after much delibertaion, Portugal and her colonies is now being ceded to France in return for the independence of New France from Louisiana to Quebec. For the time being It will be a French Protectorate under the rule of Queen Celestine I of the House of Cote.
The new nation born today is now known as the Republic of Quebec. May relations between France and Quebec be strong forever and ever.

Queen Catalina I of Portugal hereby dispatches multiple warships to the French coast on the Bay of Biscay to surpress revolutionaries. This is an act of war against Portugal's ally and an illegal seize of power. It is an unecessary military coup in which the leader has oppresed no French citizen as of yet. In the name of Portugal and the for the continuation of steady alliance with France and its rightful monarch King Mathieu I, Portugal declares war on the French rebellion.
